Cory D. Raines is a legal professional and consultant with experience representing individuals and organizations in business, entertainment, and civil matters. He is the founder of Raines Legal Group, a platform focused on legal education, industry insights, and the evolving intersection of law, technology, and business. He also authors and maintains an active legal blog covering developments in law, legal AI, and the business of sports and entertainment.

Mr. Raines began his legal career working with Atlanta-based law firms, where he focused on litigation and bankruptcy. He later built a practice centered on entertainment and sports law, advising established and emerging professionals on contracts, business strategy, and general representation. His work includes negotiating and structuring licensing, management, touring, and record deals, as well as handling civil and business disputes.

He currently works as a Legal Expert and Consultant with xAI, where he contributes to the development and training of advanced AI systems, including Grok and related technologies. His work focuses on improving legal reasoning, real-world application, and the performance of AI in complex legal contexts.

In addition, Mr. Raines is the founder of PROTIPPZ, an NIL-focused platform designed to support athletes and creators in monetizing their personal brands.

He earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia School of Law and a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing, magna cum laude, from the University of Georgia Terry College of Business. During law school, he interned with The Coca-Cola Company and clerked for multiple legal organizations.
